A Day at Sowing Excellence

Ever wonder what your child's day would look like here? From morning chapel to our outdoor classroom, from hands-on core subjects to real-world skills — come picture a day in the life of a Sowing Excellence student.

Faith and community, first thing

Every school day starts at 9:00 a.m. with our pledges — to the American flag, the Texas flag, and the Christian flag — followed by chapel. Chapel is part of every single day: a chance for students of every age to come together, give thanks, and set their hearts before classes begin. It's a simple rhythm that grounds everything that follows in faith, character, and belonging.

Built for every age - Two Paths, One Family

Pre-K4 – 4th Grade * Our Youngest Learners

Little ones stay with their class in a designated classroom, where they work through their core subjects together with a familiar teacher who knows each child by name. It's a warm, steady, nurturing start — the kind of foundation where character and confidence grow right alongside academics.

5th Grade – 12th Grade * Growing Toward Independence

Starting in 5th grade, students rotate through core subjects taught by specialist educators who are passionate about what they teach — and about the students they teach it to. They also build real-world skills through our Economics Program, and our high schoolers can earn college credit through ACC Dual Credit, even completing a full associate degree by graduation.

The Sowing Excellence Economics Program

One of the things that truly sets us apart. Starting in 5th grade, students don't just learn about money and work — they live it, right here at school.

1. Apply & Interview

Students apply and interview for real "jobs" around the school — librarian, yearbook assistant, website assistant, photographer, and more — practicing skills that matter for a lifetime.

2.Earn a Salary

They earn a salary in "Sowing Excellence Bucks," paid each week in class for doing their job well throughout the year.

3. Budget & Keep a Ledger

Students pay "rent" on their chair — or save up to buy it — and track every paycheck and purchase in their own ledger.

4. Spend at the Auction

Saved-up Bucks are spent at our monthly Economics Auction, and our "Super Savers" earn special awards.

Why parents love it

It's economics you can't teach from a textbook — responsibility, budgeting, saving, work ethic, and the pride of earning something yourself. By the time students leave us, they've practiced real-life skills that carry straight into adulthood.
